Bio Summary for Jenny Ting

Dr. JennyTing is a William Rand Kenan Professor of Genetics and the UNC LinebergerComprehensive Cancer Center’s Immunology Program Leader. She is also theDirector of the UNC Center for Translational Immunology and a member of theDepartment of Microbiology-Immunology. She has served on an NIH-NIAIDextramural Council, the Board of Scientific Council and the advisory board ofthe American Asthma Foundation. Currently she serves on the Board of Directorsof the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and the Tang Prize Committee. Her research spansclass II Major Histocompatibility gene transcription, inflammation andcytokines in neurologic disorders, innate immune receptors and the role ofmicrobiota in disease mitigation. She has published over 330 articles.
